UNINSTALLING LIGHTHOUSE TRADER

To uninstall Lighthouse Trader, go to the Windows Control Panel and double-click on “Add/Remove Programs.” Scroll down to find the entry for Lighthouse Trader and click the “Change/Remove” button. The application will now be uninstalled.

If there is no entry for Lighthouse Trader in the “Add/Remove Programs” list, it probably means you manually installed the application. In this case, simply delete the C:\LighthouseTraderApp directory.

After uninstalling Lighthouse Trader, you might also wish to uninstall the Java runtime environment. This is not recommended because it may affect other applications that rely on the Java runtime environment. However, if you are sure that Lighthouse Trader is the only application dependent on the Java runtime environment, you can uninstall the Java runtime environment as well. To do this, go to the Windows Control Panel, and double-click on “Add/Remove Programs.” Then scroll down to the entry for “J2SE Runtime Environment” and click the “Change/Remove” button.

You may also want to delete the database created by Lighthouse Trader. Before doing this, you should consider carefully whether to preserve your purchased/downloaded daily data.  This is the data which you have purchased or downloaded from a data provider (such as EODDATA). If you think there is a chance you may need this data later on, either to reload into a Lighthouse Trader database, or for use with another application, you should make a backup copy of this data in a directory other than C:\LighthouseTrader. To make a backup copy of your purchased/downloaded data, copy C:\LighthouseTrader\data_providers (and all subdirectories) to a new location.

Once you have made a backup copy of your purchased data, you may safely delete the C:\LighthouseTrader directory, and all subdirectories.
