Protecting your privacy and your personal information is important to us. The following paragraphs explain how we collect, use, and protect your information.

What information do we collect?

If you choose to participate in a free trial evaluation of the Lighthouse Trader application, we request your email address.

If you purchase a subscription for the Lighthouse Trader application, then, in addition to
your email address, we request your name, address, and phone number. Credit card information will also be requested by an online merchant web site (not affiliated with Lighthouse Trader LLC).

When you run the Lighthouse Trader application, the application sends a notification message to our host server containing a license key and the username you chose when you set up the application. The license key was provided to you by Lighthouse Trader when you registered for a free trial or purchased a subscription for the application. The application also sends information about application usage patterns, but this information contains no personal identification information.

When is the information collected?

While visiting the Lighthouse Trader web site, if you choose to participate in the free trial evaluation, or to purchase a subscription, you will be requested to enter various personal details such as your name, email address, etc. 

When the Lighthouse Trader application is installed on your PC, information may be requested to enable the application to access your data provider. Also, at your discretion, you may provide the application with the username and password of your online
brokerage account.

What information does Lighthouse Trader LLC share with other individuals
and organizations?

We will not share information with any individual or organization outside of Lighthouse Trader LLC, with the sole exception of government entities, when required to do so by law. 
If a situation arises where we feel it is necessary or beneficial to share information, we will do so only after you have given us authorization to share this information. We do not share your email address with anyone outside of Lighthouse Trader LLC, subject to the one exception mentioned above, unless you specifically authorize us to do so.

Do we use cookies?

“Cookies” are small files sent from our host server to your PC.  We use them to help customize your experience while browsing the Lighthouse Trader web site.They also help
us to identify web site usage levels and patterns. They do not contain any personal identification information or passwords.

How do we use your personal information?

The information you provide us enables us to contact you, in order to inform you of important announcements regarding your use of the Lighthouse Trader application, and to inform you of new product releases that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving product release announcements at any time. The information also enables us to verify that you are an authorized user of the Lighthouse Trader application and to prevent unauthorized use thereof. We also use the information to identify usage patterns of the features of the application, which helps us to improve future releases of the application.  And the information is used to help us better design the Lighthouse Trader web site.

How do we protect your personal information?

Certain features of the Lighthouse Trader application require the username and password of a data provider or online brokerage that you subscribe to. Any such username or password you provide us will only be stored in encrypted form, and only on your local PC. Usernames and passwords for data providers and brokerages you subscribe to are never transmitted to or stored on any computer, host, or other server belonging to, affiliated with, or operated by Lighthouse Trader LLC. They will only be transmitted to the data provider or brokerage web site, in the manner required by that data provider or brokerage. 

While no security system can be guaranteed to be absolutely unbreakable, we take this issue seriously and will continue to evaluate and improve our measures in order to ensure that your information remains secure.

How will you be notified of changes to our privacy policy?

We will post the new privacy policy to our web site and post a notice on our home page informing you of the change.
