STOCK CHARTING SOFTWARE
Charting in Lighthouse Trader can be as simple or as powerful as you like.
For a basic chart, just type in a ticker symbol and click “Generate Chart.” But that’s just the beginning of what Lighthouse Trader can do for you.

Here is an overview of Lighthouse Trader’s stock charting capabilities.
Multiple Time Frames
Simply click on “Daily”, “Weekly”, or “Monthly” to simultaneously view all selected symbols and indicators in multiple time frames. Scroll the chart window left or right to quickly view each time frame.
You can also set the ending date for your chart. This allows you to get a clear and detailed view of the price action for symbols at any time in the past – not squished into a narrow unreadable chart. You can pick out just the months of interest to you, any number of years in the past, and view those few months clearly.
This also enables you to sharpen your technical analysis skills by viewing charts from the past without seeing the price action beyond the ending date you specify. When you are ready, move the chart forward a month or two to see what actually happened.
Multiple Symbols
Display charts for any number of symbols simultaneously, arranged vertically on the page.
If you are unsure of a symbol, you can search by company or index name. And, if you are unsure of the company or index name, you can type in a few characters to reduce the list of companies or indexes to just those containing the characters you entered. For example, type in “russell” see just the symbols for the various “Russell” indexes.
Indicators
Lighthouse Trader offers an extensive and growing collection of technical analysis indicators – ADX, bollinger bands, historical volatility, MACD, RSI, stochastic oscillators, and more.

Or compose your own indicators by combining existing data sources (eg. open, high, low, close, rank), arithmetic operators (add, subtract, cume, percent, etc.) and standard indicators (moving average, etc.).
For example, you could create a chart showing volume weighted by the number of shares traded on a daily basis. Or you could plot a line showing the difference between the 25 and 50 day moving averages.
All this through a simple drag-and-drop interface – no programming required!
But you can do more. Using the Java™ programming language and the Lightspeed API provided by Lighthouse Trader, you can create completely new indicators. These indicators will appear seamlessly in Lighthouse Trader – just as if they were one of the built-in indicators. And they can easily be shared with other Lighthouse Trader users if you wish.
