Stock Screening and Ranking - Example #2
OBJECTIVE: Find stocks priced above $10 per share, and whose 50 day average volume is greater than 200,000 shares.
- In the “Available Items” list, if the “Data” branch is not already expanded to show all members, double click on the word “Data” to view all data items.
- Click once on the “close” item to highlight it.
- Click and drag the “close” item over to the “drop items beneath here” position in the “Selected Items” list.
- When you drop the “close” item, the following dialog box will appear.

Click on the “must be” radio button, choose “greater than”, and enter 10 in the box.
Then click the OK button.
- The “Selected Items” list should now look like the following.

- Double-click on the “Indicators” label in the “Available Items” list to view all members of this category.
- Click once on “moving average, simple” to highlight it.
- Click and drag the “moving average, simple” item over to the “Time Frame: daily” position in the “Selected Items” list.
- When you drop the “moving average, simple” item, the following dialog box will appear.

Click on the “must be” radio button, choose “greater than”, and enter 200,000 in the box. Then click the OK button.
- The “Selected Items” list should now look like the following.

- Click once on the “volume” item to highlight it.
- Click and drag “volume” to the “Selected Items” list and drop it onto the
“50 sma” item.
- The following dialog box will appear. Just click the OK button to accept the default values.

- The “Selected Items” list should now look like the following.

- Now click the “Run” button to see the stocks that match your scan definition.
